Large Format Printing Dallas Tx

Large format press

Large Format Printing Dallas Tx covers a lot of territory but for now lets talk about the Sheet Fed Offset process.  Sheet fed means that each and every sheet runs through the press one sheet at a time.  The paper is stacked on one end of the press and is fed through at speeds of up to 10,000 sheets per hour.  Large Format means sheets of paper  normally larger than 18 inches wide and usually about 35 to 40 inches in width and about 23 to 25 inches in height.

A Large Format Press is usually about 40 inches wide but can be as large as 60 inches or more but this is rare.  What does that mean for you?  Lets say you wanted 20,000 tri-fold brochures that are 8.5 X 11  flat and fold to fit a number 10 envelope.  A large format press can run these in multiple up images say eight to a sheet and at 10,000 sheets per hour, that means it will only take about an hour to run these and provide the best quality at the lowest cost.

There is a lot more to the selection of a large format printer but this will give you a start to understanding the process.  If you need any help with the selection of a large format printer please call me at 214-417-4950

Small Format Printing Dallas

Small Format Printing Dallas Texas

Small format printing is a term used for a printing process that is used on printing  projects that  require the type of equipment to print a particular type of printing.  The reason for the term “Small Format” is that there are different sizes of printing presses and depending on the size of your project in terms of overall size, quantity, quality, ink coverage and believe it on not the type of paper are just a small idea of the type of printer you will want to consider.

Small Format printers generally print in the area of 17 inches or less and are limited to the type of paper and ink colors and coverage.  They are best suited for smaller sizes and quantity of 5000 or less.
